I, Stanley of Owston, along with a select group of biscuit carriers, am now in the process of sallying forth to see what the (round) heart of Leicestershire really looks and smells like (ploughed earth, bonfires, chips and beer mainly at the moment).
Sad to say Stanley never did finish his walk around Leicester, but a potentially able assistant was able to take on the mantle for the last three walks. So join Pip as we "Pip Round Leicester".

Walk 3 Glooston to Gumley
Sunday 6th May 2012
Babies, colds,weather and hangovers permitting.
An 8.25 mile walk through the Welland Valley, with pubs dotted throughout the walk. Start at SP 748 958 finish at around SP 682 899.
Could be muddy, also there is a ford to cross.
